Pakistan, a nation with a significant position on the world map, is not just a country but a reflection of civilization, culture, and history. It is the custodian of one of the world’s oldest civilizations, the Indus Valley Civilization, which flourished on this very land. The archaeological sites of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa testify to the fact that this region has been a cradle of knowledge, art, and progress for thousands of years.
Unfortunately, Pakistan is often portrayed negatively in the global media, but the reality is quite different. Dear readers, a country is the primary source of identity for its people. It is an asset that embodies history, culture, and traditions while profoundly influencing an individual’s character and uniqueness.
The honor of a nation reflects the dignity of its citizens. If a country is regarded as developed, powerful, and honorable on the global stage, its people enjoy the same respect worldwide. Conversely, if a nation is embroiled in conflicts or challenges, its citizens face similar struggles. Therefore, every individual must contribute wholeheartedly to their country’s dignity and progress.
In my youth, I had the opportunity to travel and live abroad. The first question I was often asked was, “Where are you from?” When I mentioned “Pakistan,” the reactions were varied. This was during the early days of Pakistan’s recognition as a nuclear power, under the leadership of General Pervez Musharraf. During my stay in Azerbaijan, the youth there admired us as representatives of a brave nation, as they themselves were grappling with conflicts involving Armenia. The responses in Iran and Georgia were different, but everywhere, it became evident that Pakistan was our identity and we were the face of Pakistan.
Presenting Pakistan’s positive face is a collective responsibility. Through our individual and collective efforts, we can show the world that Pakistan is a great, peaceful, and progressive nation.
Pakistan’s geographical location places it among the most significant countries in the world. Sharing borders with China, India, Iran, and Afghanistan, and providing access to the Gulf countries through the Arabian Sea, it holds immense trade and economic potential. The Gwadar Port is poised to become a hub of global trade, benefiting not just Pakistan but the entire world. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a testament to Pakistan’s strategic importance, connecting it with China and the Central Asian nations.
The northern regions of Pakistan, including K2 and other towering peaks, attract tourists from around the globe. Scenic destinations like Hunza, Swat, and Gwadar are prime examples of natural beauty. Pakistani youth are making their mark globally in education, showcasing their talent and excellence. The country’s IT, agriculture, and textile industries have established a strong presence in international markets.
We must work together to highlight our culture, education, tourism, and economic development on the global stage. Presenting the positive face of Pakistan is a shared responsibility for all of us.Long Live Pakistan!
