GUJRANWALA
A total of 32 children, including nine girls and 23 boys, have reportedly gone missing or were allegedly abducted from Gujranwala city and its surrounding areas during the past month, raising serious concern among parents and residents.
According to available information, the missing girls are between seven and 17 years of age. Four of them have been recovered, while five remain missing.
The missing girls have been identified as 12-year-old Aleeza, 14-year-old Iqra, 15-year-old Rabia, 17-year-old Alishba and 17-year-old Naushaba. The missing boys are reported to be between three and 17 years old. Authorities have confirmed the recovery of 17-year-old Abdul Rehman, while efforts are continuing to trace the remaining missing children.
Families of the missing children continue to await their safe return and have appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Inspector General of Police Punjab, the Regional Police Officer and the City Police Officer Gujranwala to constitute a special task force for the recovery of the missing children and ensure effective action.
