Three children drowned in Jalala stream in Takhtbhai


PESHAWAR: Two children drowned in the Jalala stream in tehsil Takhtbhai on Thursday. The victims were the residents of a village near the stream. According to Assistant Commissioner Takhtbhai Gul Nawaz Khan Afridi, five children went Jalala stream, locally known as Ameer Khan Khwar, to spend time and take bath. However, all of them did not know swimming, they drowned. Local who were in the vicinity tried and rescue only two of them and three went missing. locals informed the rescue divers for searching the missing children but did not search them till filling this report.AC Takhtbhai who was monitoring the operation at the stream said that the health condition of two children was stable. The children rescued identified as 12-year-old Jawad and 13-year-old Arman. Assistant Commissioner Takht Bhai Gul Nawaz Khan Afridi and Circle DSP Ayaz Mahmood Khan reached were on the spot and search for the three missing children underway. DLP Report
