Three minor girls drowned in Barani Dam in Tabay village, Bazaar Zakha Khel, the remote and bordering area of tehsil Landi Kotal, district Khyber on Wednesday.
Local and police sources informed that the girls might pitching water from the Dam when they slapped down into the deep water.
As a result all the three drowned and passed away on the spot. Soon after the incident, the locals rushed to the site and fished out the dead bodies, sources informed.
The deceased were identified as Basreza 10, Saleya 08, and Afra 10.
The mishap saden the whole locality and residents of Bazaar Zakha Khel demanded of the government to compensate the grieved families.
