Pat Cummins has been named the captain of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Test Team of the Year 2024 on Friday, featuring India’s Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Cummins is the only Australian in the line-up, with four players from England, two from New Zealand and one from Sri Lanka.

Cummins has been named the captain of the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year for the second consecutive year. He earned this honor after leading Australia to the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final, overseeing victories against Pakistan, New Zealand, and India.

Not only has Cummins demonstrated outstanding leadership, but he has also made significant contributions with both bat and ball. In 2024, he took 37 wickets at an average of 24.02 and scored 306 runs, averaging 23.53.
