At least three minor children of same family died of measles’s out break at village Irshad khoso of Kashmore. As per reports, Three children namely kalsoom chachar 05, Asad Hussain 4 and Ahmed Hussain 3 hailing from taulka Kashmore after being infected with measles virus around a week last their breath on Sunday.
The parents of deceased children complained that due to non availability of anti measles vaccines at government hospitals their children were not vaccinated. They informed that there were dozans of children who were hospitalized due to measles virus at the different areas of district.
However the health department confirmed the sudden emergence of measles cases kashmore and it’s adjoining areas, saying it had dispatched medical teams to infected locality to vaccinate and treating ailing children.
They appealed from Deputy Commissioner kashmore, DHO and other authority concerned to immediately send medical teams to affected areas and ensure treatment and proper vaccinations.
It is pertinent to add here that due to non proper check and balance and audit of funds and it’s expenditures from concerned authorities as well as no any surprise visit or raid from Divisional Commisioner, Deputy Commissioner and DHO there is acute shortage of drugs, special equipments and vaccines while there is only paracetamol formulated tablets and syrups are available in the stock while expiry also suspicious.
