KHYBER AGENCY: On the 18th consecutive day, the Torkham border was remained closed for general crossing however the border security officials let 39 stranded serious Afghan patients to cross the border to their native country last night.
The forces officials said that after thoroughly examined their health condition and checked their doctors tests and other medicine receipts by the forces health officials at Torkham border, 39 serious Afghan national patients, stranded in Khyber Agency due to suspension of the border were permitted to cross the border to Afghanistan.
It is to be mentioned here that keeping in view problems of the stranded Afghan patients, last day the forces have set up a doctors team at the border, who looks at the ill Afghan citizens and following their consent let them to go to their homes, across the border in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile 500 to 550 Afghanis including men, women and children were still stuck in LandiKotal and had been taken shelter for the last 18 days in under-construction building in LandiKotal bazaar.
