Toshakhana reference: Court sets Feb 07 to indict Imran Khan

Local court of Islamabad has set February 07 to indict PTI chairman Imran Khan in Tosha Khana reference.

The case filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for criminal proceedings against the PTI chief Imran Khan came up for hearing before Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal Islamabad in district and sessions court Tuesday.
At the inception of hearing the court inquired from Syed Ali Bokhari counsel for PTI where is power of attorney from Imran Khan.

Saad Hassan counsel for Election Commission said the power of attorney can not be filed unless Imran Khan himself comes.

The counsel for Imran Khan said we had presented medical certificate of Imran Khan on previous hearing.

The court remarked “ file the power of attorney today too.

The counsel for election commission said they can not give power of attorney unless the surety bonds are received.

Counsels for PTI and election commission exchanged bitter remarks too.

Ali Bokhari while cautioning counsel for election commission said “ you should direct me. Talk to court.

The counsel for election commission prayed the court to issue arrest warrants of Imran Khan.

The court fixed February 07 for indictment of Imran Khan.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal directed Imran Khan to file surety bonds worth rupees 20000 besides ensuring his appearance in person in the court on next hearing.

Surety bonds valuing Rs 20000 were filed in the court later.
