Traffic chief visits Kohat Road to inspect traffic flow

Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat on Friday visited Kohat Road and Badaber to take stock of the situation after further improvements in the traffic system and operations against encroachment mafia.
He was accompanied by SP City Traffic Muhammad Saeed and other officers and officials during the visit.
Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat expressed satisfaction over the operations against encroachments and ensuring traffic flow in the city and directed the traffic authorities to take action against encroachment mafia on daily basis.
Traffic chief on the occasion directed the traffic wardens to clear the sidewalks from encroachment of mafia so that pedestrians would not face any problem.
He said that no leniency would be shown to anyone in this regard.
Mr Abbas said that indiscriminate operations against the encroaching mafia will continue.
In this regard, the business community should cooperate with the City Traffic Police Peshawar to ensure the beauty of the city.
He said that the traders should take care of the tire barriers installed in the city for the convenience of the citizens.
City Traffic Police should work with the concerned agencies to ensure its cleanliness, adding that authorities should keep a check and balance after conducting operation against the encroaching mafia so that the encroaching mafia would not cross its limits again.
He said that parking of vehicles in No-parking zones was not acceptable as it affected the traffic system. He said that the staff of city traffic police should continue to be aware of traffic rules and encroachments throughout the city as better results are emerging.
