A prize distribution ceremony was held at the Traffic Headquarters in Gulbahar, organized by the City Traffic Police Peshawar. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Haroon Rashid Khan, along with other senior traffic officers and officials, attended the event.
CTO Haroon Rashid Khan distributed certificates of appreciation and cash awards among officials in recognition of their outstanding performance. While addressing the ceremony, the CTO commended the dedication and hard work of the traffic staff, urging them to continue performing their duties with commitment and professionalism.
He emphasized the importance of the “greet first, then speak” policy and called on officers to utilize all their capabilities to ensure the strict implementation of traffic rules. He further stressed the need for maintaining smooth traffic flow and raising public awareness about road safety.
“The process of reward and accountability within the City Traffic Police will remain in place,” he said. “Officers showing exemplary performance will be appreciated, while disciplinary action will be taken against those found negligent in their duties.”
CTO Haroon Rashid Khan also issued directives for continued operations against illegal parking in no-parking zones and actions against the encroachment mafia across the city. He made it clear that no leniency would be shown to violators, and departmental action would be initiated against any officer failing to perform their responsibilities.
