Traffic Police stressed at traffic rules in seminar

The City Traffic Police on Monday organized a seminar on traffic awareness and road safety at the Roots Millennium School.
Senior officers from City Traffic Police, including DSP Anilah Naz, DSP Education Ihsan Marwat and students attended the seminar.
The event was aimed at increasing the students’ preference towards adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
In this context, a special presentation was given by the trained professionals from traffic police.
The education team of the City Traffic Police emphasised that the use of a helmet primarily benefits the rider and ensures safety from critical head injuries and is a mandatory life saving gadget for a biker.
The speakers also reminded that driving without a valid driving license is an illegal act and pre-requisite for responsible citizens while driving a vehicle.
They highlighted another heinous violation of one-way rules usually committed by individuals which not only puts their life in danger but also proves fatal for other road commuters.
During the seminar, DSP Education and team informed the students about road safety, zebra cross, use and benefits of seat belts and helmets, along with the principles and precautions of driving.
He said that traffic accidents and casualties can be avoided by using seat belts and helmets.
At the end of the seminar, DSP Anil Naz gave practical training to the students regarding road crossing and later asked them questions related to traffic rules and road crossing to which the students gave correct answers.
The Principal of Roots Millennium School appreciated the initiatives of City Traffic Police Peshawar and urged DSP Education to conduct such awareness seminars at different times and assured all kinds of cooperation with City Traffic Police Peshawar.
