LAHORE: Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, in a statement on Wednesday, said that the contingent of Punjab Sports Department will participate in the first edition of National Youth Games with full preparations under the leadership of Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry informed that the training camps of Punjab teams will start from August 30 (Saturday) to September 5 at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex. “Punjab Sports Department has arranged expert coaches to impart top standard training to Punjab athletes”. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that the trials of Punjab teams have already been completed. “More than 400 male and female athletes will attend training camps for the preparation of First National Youth Games which are scheduled to be organised at federal capital Islamabad from September 7 to 13”.
