The Community Resilience Activity – North (CRA-North) organized a 3-day Concept Note Development Workshop on Disaster Resilience in Qandeel, Tehsil Bahrain Swat.
The main objective of the workshop was to discuss and develop concept notes that focus on restoring flood-affected infrastructure and building resilience. Participants included local community members, including elders and youth from three different villages – Gulabad, Panjigram, and Dugiya. A total of 45 male and 15 female participants attended the workshop from Panjigram, Gulabad, and Dugiya villages in Bahrain.
The workshop empowered participants to develop project concept notes that address problems caused by natural disasters and aim to build a resilient community. They were provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to craft concept notes and proposals that align with the specific needs and issues of their local community, particularly those related to floods and other natural disasters.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Muhammad Sikandar Khan, Assistant Commissioner of Bahrain, as the chief guest. He attentively listened to the participants’ suggestions and reviewed their concept notes developed during the workshop. He also commended the efforts of CRA-North and presented certificates to the participating individuals as a gesture of appreciation.
The community resilience activities organized by CRA-North include training workshops and rehabilitation activities. These aim to better prepare and effectively respond to natural disasters and overcome their effects.
