Dwellers of Loy-Shelman, the remote and bordering area of tehsil Landi Kotal demanded posting of doctors and other health staff in Rural Health Center (RHC), Loy-Shelman.
Locals including Malik Shareef, Zakir Shelmain and others complained last day that up gradation work on the RHC had been completed months back but doctors and other health crew members had not been appointed so far that was equllient to deprive them of health facilities.
We travel more than 30 kilometers and pay thousands of rupees in transport fare to take our patients to District Headquarter (DHQ), Landi Kotal to get treatment for our ill relatives, they regretted.
They demanded the health highup to take serious notice of their problem and deploy doctors and other necessary health staff to their RHC so that they could avail the curing opportunity at their door steps.
When the District Health Officer Dr Faisal Khan was contacted on the matter he confirmed that construction work at the center had been concluded, however the staffing process will be carried through Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) tests.
He added that all arrangements for the recruiting had been finalized and in the coming two months doctors and other health staff will be posted in the RHC and the center will be functioned for the curing of the residents of Loy- Shelman.
