Speakers at the function held in Jirga hall, Landi Kotal said that devoted and honest teachers were the real builders of the nation.
All Teachers Association, Landi Kotal organized a function in the honor of the retired headmaster and senior teacher Haji Ghaffar Khan here on Sunday who served in the education department for 36 years.
Former education officers, headmasters, a large number of teachers and students, elders and members of civil society were among the participants.
The speakers lauded the retiring headmaster for his contribution to the sacred profession of teaching and said in real sense he served the locals.
The area and the education department was deprived of a model teacher and the best manager, they added.
Haji Ghaffar Khan thanked the organizers and the teachers’ community for the honor and said although theoretically he retired but would play an effective role for the welfare and development of the Landi Kotal.
At the end his students and colleagues presented him bouquets and gifts.
