Two bread sellers arrested for charging extra in Landi Kotal

Two bakers (bread sellers) were apprehended and put behind the bars for charging additional price of bread here in Landi Kotal Bazaar on Sunday.
It is to be mentioned here that on the last day Deputy Commissioner(DC),Khyber notified revised price for bread sellers i.e.120 gram per bread(roti) to be sold at 20 rupee in Khyber with immediate implementation.
The decision was made due to a decrease in flour rates across the country, the DC office said.
Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC)Landi Kotal Rameez Ali Shah along with lower staff of local administration unexpectedly raided various shops of bread sellers and checked their weight and price and quality of the commodity.
During inspection two bakeries were red handed caught while charging extra-price for the bread.
Speaking on the occasion AAC Rameez Ali Shah said that because of flour crises, citizens had suffered therefore advantage in the fall of price of flour should be given to them.
He asked the bread sellers to sell the roti as per list rate or shut their business.
On the strict directions of highup no relaxation would be granted to extra-chargers and those who would be found volition official price list of edibles would be dealt as per law, he added.
