UNHCR distributed tablets to DAFI scholars in Pakistan

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) initiated a program to distribute tablets to DAFI scholars in Pakistan. This initiative aims to provide afghan students with the necessary technology to continue their education in a system that is moving rapidly towards digital mediums.
The DAFI program has been providing higher education scholarships to refugees in Pakistan since 1992. The program supports young refugees in their pursuit of higher education, enabling them to contribute to their communities and build a better future for themselves and their families.
Tablets distribution activity held at DAFI Project Office, Inspire Pakistan where DAFI scholars from ICT and Punjab received tablets ensuring that these students can continue their education and tap into other online learning programmes. Ms. Freeda Miah, Education Officer and Mr. Avery Gois, Associate Programme Officer, UNHCR Pakistan graciously attended the ceremony alongside Mr. Qaiser M. Siddiqui, Co-founder & CEO, Inspire Pakistan.
The ceremony kicked off with inspiring welcome note from Mr. Qaiser M. Siddiqui, CEO & Co-founder, Inspire Pakistan who highlighted the role, importance and usage of tablets in student’s life. He further expressed that tablets and these modern accessories are important tool which can help students to excel in their educational career. He talked about the conventional methods of learning, where students used to go to library for search of information comparing it with the latest methods of learning through these tablets, which bring the whole world of education to their finger tips.
Ms. Fareeda, Education Officer, UNHCR Pakistan delivered her remarks by thanking the students for attending the ceremony and appreciated the efforts they are putting in getting education through the scholarships.
She further expressed that these tablets will play an important role in identifying the sources online through which students can enhance their educational skills.
At the end, tablets were distributed amongst the students for which DAFI scholars thanked UNHCR Pakistan for providing higher education opportunities through Inspire Pakistan.
Inspire Pakistan is distributing the tablets donated by UNHCR to other DAFI scholars in KP, Sindh and Baluchistan this month
