UoP signs MoU to tackle regional challenges

The University of Peshawar’s think tank, Digital Insight Lab, and the Center for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to address regional economic and social challenges through research and policy collaboration.
The agreement was formalized on Tuesday by Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammad Naeem Qazi and CGPA Chief Executive Muhammad Anwar.
Present at the signing ceremony were Digital Insight Lab Coordinator Prof Sajjad Ahmed Jan, Deputy Coordinator Dr Faheem Nawaz, and Director of Planning and Development Prof Bushra Khan.
V C Prof Muhammad Naeem Qazi highlighted the agreement as a vital platform for addressing pressing challenges faced by the University of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He expressed optimism about continued collaboration between the two institutions in fostering policy dialogue and tackling key issues.
CGPA Chief Executive Muhammad Anwar acknowledged the recent NFC consultative conference as a precursor to the MoU and anticipated further activities and partnerships stemming from the agreement.
Prof Sajjad Ahmed Jan emphasized the MoU’s potential to facilitate the launch of a research journal at the policy dialogue level and provide training opportunities for mid-career faculty and students.
Prof Bushra Khan underscored the MoU’s importance in advancing research and academic initiatives focused on poverty alleviation and economic stability through effective policy development.
