Islamabad: United State’s newly appointed envoy to Afghanistan Thomas West will visit Pakistan later this week, it emerged Wednesday. According to media reports, this will be Thomas’s first official visit to Pakistan as he replaced Zalmay Khalilzad earlier. Khalilzad, during his adventurous tenure, had negotiated with Taliban constantly and played a vital role in handing Kabul peacefully over to Taliban a few months ago. Online
