The United States has pledged to play its role in enhancing cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
The commitment was made by US Secretary of Defence General Lloyd James Austin during a telephonic conversation with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The US Defence Secretary expressed his grief over the devastation caused by unprecedented floods in Pakistan and offered sincere condolence to the families of the victims. He offered full support to the people of Pakistan.
He also appreciated Pakistan Army’s rescue and relief efforts in areas hit by flooding.

COAS orders to provide 5,000 tents to flood victims in Dadu
Chief of Army Staff(COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited far-flung areas of interior Sindh in Dadu District on Saturday.
The COAS spent time with flood affected people in relief and medical camps. He directed the formation for providing 5,000 tents to flood-affected people of Dadu and surrounding areas.
The COAS also interacted with troops busy in rescue and relief activities. Later, COAS was flown for aerial reconnaissance of flood affected areas of Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Meher and Manchar Lake.
Talking to the media, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the flood caused a huge devastation in Dadu and adjoining areas.
“The world is helping us. The entire country is helping the flood victims,” he added.
The COAS said a relief operation is going on in Dadu. “I have visited Dadu as it suffered a huge destruction. The Manchar and Hamal Lakes that are 100km from each other have united,” he maintained.
