ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police Bara Kahu police team have arrested a wanted member of a thief gang and recovered stolen cash from his possession, a Police Public Relation Officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens. According to the details, a Bara Kahu police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a thief gang. The accused was identified as Junaid. Police team also recovered stolen cash Rs 220,000 from his possession. Case has been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in theft incidents. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained. DNA
