Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Masood Khan while reiterating Pakistan commitment to the ideals of pluralism and democracy has said we will continue to ensure integration of minorities in national life.
He said while addressing an event at the embassy of Pakistan in Washington in connection with national day of minorities.
The representatives of Christian, Hindu, Sikh and other minorities attended the event.
He held Pakistan is taking comprehensive steps for preservation of religious heritage. The Sikh community has appreciated opening of Kartarpur corridor across the world.
Masood Khan said we are also renovating Katas Raj temple and other places of worship.
Pakistan government has taken multiple steps to empower minorities so that their representation in executive, legislation and judiciary could be ensured, he remarked.
Citing to a statement of Quaid-e-Azam he said all are equal citizens in Pakistan. We all are one under flag of Pakistan.
Representatives of minorities’ community, on the occasion, said they are proud of the heritage and their association with Pakistan.
