May 9 GHQ attack case
RAWALPINDI
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has adjourned hearing of May 9 GHQ attack case till January 20.
The defence counsel said during the hearing of the case “ we will not become part of court’s proceedings unless we are given access to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.
The court provided to defence counsel copy of Punjab government notification regarding video link trial of PTI founder.
The court issued non -bailable arrest warrants of all the accused who remained absent from Tuesday’s proceedings of the court besides adjourning hearing of the case till next date.
Faisal Malik counsel for PTI founder and special prosecutor Zahir Shah along with team appeared in the court during hearing of May 9 GHQ attack case.
The defence counsels requested the court to grant permission to meet PTI founder in jail as they have to obtain directives from him regarding cases.
Upon it prosecutor Zaheer Shah said PTI founder is on bail in May 9 GHQ attack case and he is not in custody of this court. He is now convicted. Therefore defence counsels should resort to the respective forum.
The convicted criminal is in the custody of jail superintendent. The powers for arranging meeting rest with him as well.
It is pertinent to mention here Punjab government has issued notification on October 30, 2025 regarding video link trial of May 9 GHQ attack case.
The case came up for hearing before judge ATC judge Amjid Ali.
