Tanzeem-e Asateza Pakistan, Khyber chapter gave away winter package to 150 deserving local students.
In this connection a simple but impressive gathering was organized in government primary school no.2 Landi Kotal last day that was attended by tehsil chairman Haji Shah Khalid as chief guest besides assistant district education officer Inayat Ullah Afridi, number of teachers and members of civil society.
Addressing on the occasion Haji Shah Khalid appreciated the role of teachers in the society and said they shaped the future of the country by decorating the youth with education.
Valuing the noble cause (relief works) of the teachers community he added that helping the poor students and fulfilling their necessities were not only a great service but also a struggle to get continued education of the poor learners.
Earlier, district and tehsil heads of the organization Shareefullah Afridi and Arshad Ali respectively briefed the participants of the activities of the tanzeem and said in the last three years more than two million rupees packages including books, stationeries, bags, uniforms shoes and fees of matric examination had been distributed among poor and orphan students.
At the end the chief guest gave away a winter package to 150 poor students (boys and girls).
