Dozens of women from Malik community recorded their protest against the police for their failure to recover two persons who were kidnapped one and half month ago from the limits Buxapur police station.
According to details, the protesters namely Mai Zulekhaan, Mai Manzooran, Mai Mumtaz and others staged sit in protest in front of District Press Club Kandhkot chanted slogans against malpractices and dereliction of duty by the local police.
Talking to media disheartened and disappointed women of Malik community complained that even after passage of one and half month police have not managed to recover their abductees namely Gul Mohammad and Mumtaz Malik who had kidnapped from Shahali Mohallah Buxapur.
On occasion they demanded that the SSP take notice of the lack of progress and ensure that the police to recover both of them otherwise protest would be prolonged.
It is pertinent to add here that street crime and kidnapping for ransom have witnessed a sharp rise in past two to three months throughout district.
