Peshawar: The ground breaking ceremony of the Women’s Center of Excellence under the Team Europe’s TVET Sector Support Programme, at Institute of Management Sciences(IM Sciences), was held here at Hayatabad in Peshawar, on Tuesday. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Industries Abdul Karim Tordher attended the ceremony as chief guest, while European Union Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka and Country Director of the British Council James Hampson also attended. This initiative marks a significant step towards equipping women in the province with cutting-edge skills in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things, and Data Science ; all critical fields for Pakistan’s growing digital economy. In the ceremony, the Special Assistant being a chief guest, formally launched the Center of Excellence, emphasizing the pivotal role it will play in addressing gender disparities and creating sustainable opportunities in hi-tech fields.
