World tourism day to be celebrated today

Rawalpindi (Online): The “World Tourism Day” is being celebrated across the country today Tuesday on 27th September. The real purpose of this day’s celebration is to make people of the world realize the importance of tourism which not only brings new experiences in our lives but also provides us opportunity to spare time for recreation and enjoyment.
According to press release, Deputy General Manager Tourism Development Corporation Punjab TDCP Mr. Sikandar Hayyat has stated this here on Monday. He said that tourism brings freshness and new enthusiasm to our lives. It is the only industry which can promote peace and friendly relationship among the people residing in different countries. The theme of the year 2016 is “Tourism for all”.
Sikandar Hayyat informed that TDCP (Punjab Tourism) is participating in the celebration of this day with great zeal and zest. According to the directives of Managing Director of TDCP Mr. Ahmer Mallick, all offices and resorts sheltered throughout Punjab will organize different kinds of activities for the promotion of Tourism in the region in connection with this day.
In Rawalpindi, TDCP Regional Office has arranged “Tourism Bus Caravan” to Taxila Museum and back to Rawalpindi, TDCP is accommodating deserving students of “ANJUMAN FAIZ UL ISLAM” Fiazabad, Rawalpindi.
This tour will be arranged, on complimentary basis for children who in normal life are void of such recreational activities which are enjoyed by the elite class.
The students will visit Taxila Museum a reflection of past civilization. For the said purpose air conditioed coaches will be decorated to make the function more attractive. The Tourism walk will be conducted at Taxila Museum Road.
The students will display different banners highlighting slogans for tourism. Lunch will be served to students hosted by TDCP. Similarly, the boys and girls of local schools of Murree and adjoining areas would be given free ride of Patriata Chairlift and Murree Soft Wheel Train at Kashmir Point.
