Like elsewhere in the country.34th of youm-e-Tasees(foundation day)of Awami National Party(ANP)was observed here in Landi Kotal on Sunday.
In this connection a gathering was arranged at Bacha Khan Chowk,main Landi Kotal Bazaar that was attended by scores of the party workers,volunteers of Pakhtun Students Federation(PSF) beside general masses.
Addressing on the occasion Chief ANP Landi Kotal Haji Saida Jan Afridi,Haji Yadullah Shinwari,PSF leader Basher Khan and others said that 34 years back, Khan Abdul Wali founded ANP aimed to safeguard interests of Pakhtun community.
Our leader, Bacha Khan ever voiced for peace and being nation, the Pakhtuns were peace loving community.
They maintained that during tenure of the provincial government of ANP established schools colleges and universities and introduced education culture in the province.
They came hard on the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) and said anti-citizens policies adopted by the Imran Khan led regime caused price hiking and unemployment in the country.
“Due to deliberate ignorance of parliamentarians of the constituency, problems of the residents of Landi Kotal has multiplied several times,”, they argued.
The speakers vowed that ANP always raised voice for the rights of down trodden people of the society and would leave no stone unturned to work for their welfare.
