Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Waqar Ahmed Chohan, has termed the role of character building essential among the youth, particularly students, in creating a corruption-free society.
He emphasized that instilling high moral values and a strong aversion to corruption from an early age is essential. His remarks came during the concluding session of provincial-level competitions on anti-corruption themes, including poster/painting and essay writing, for students across schools, colleges, and universities. The event was organized by NAB KP to raise awareness and promote integrity among the younger generation.
DG NAB KP stressed upon the students that they should adopt high moral values such as self-discipline, truthfulness, honesty, punctuality, fairness in dealings and respect for elders. He said that students’ essays and paintings highly inspired him and their enthusiasm, talent and spirit reflect that the future of the country is bright and is in safe hands.
Earlier, students in their thought provoking speeches urged upon all segments of the society to play their role in elimination of corruption from the society. They also highlighted the importance of character building to establish a corruption-free society.
Mr Waqar Ahmed Chohan distributed cash prizes/ merit certificates among the winners of the contests.
