PESHAWAR: Police arrested 10 suspects on Wednesday following an exchange of fire that left two citizens injured in the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station, officials said. According to a statement issued by the Capital City Police Peshawar, the operation was carried out on the special directives of senior officers and under the supervision of SP City Division Shahid Adnan. DSP Warsak Circle Waris Khan and SHO Kotwali Fazal Jan, along with police personnel, conducted a prompt raid in Tehseel Gor Ghatri area. Police said the suspects opened fire at each other with intent to kill. As a result of the firing, Karan Kumar and Shahrukh Ishtiaq sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital for immediate medical treatment. The arrested suspects were identified as Faizan Naz, Adnan, Sardesh Bhatti, Abrish Bhatti, Ashan Kumar, Shahzaib, Rohid Kumar, Kopal, Raman Kumar and Lakat Kumar. Police also recovered eight pistols from their possession. A case has been registered against the suspects and further investigation was underway, said police. Shinwari
