According to IESCO Spokesman, in light of IESCO Chief Direction prompt action is being taken against electricity
theft in whole region of IESCO. IESCO Operation staff M&T and Surveillance directorates are taking part in anti-electricity theft activities.
During the last week of June-2018, 118 electricity thieves caught in IESCO region. According to detail in Islamabad Circle 20, Attock Circle 38, Jhelum Circle 25 and in Chakwal Circle 35 cases reported. For legal action against involved customer applications have been given in concern Police Station.
IESCO Chief passed instruction to all field formations to spend maximum time in field and all tariffs meters may gradually check to eliminate power theft. He said that power theft is a National crime and persons involved in it are not well wisher of this country. He said that if any IESCO employee involves in electricity theft, strict legal and departmental action may initiated against him.
