12 business sealed for violating rules, hoarding in KP

PESHAWAR: The provincial government has initiated strict action against hoarding of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramzan. According to details released by the Performance Management and Reforms Unit (PMRU) as many as 138 business units/shops were inspected by the district administrations across the province of which hoarding was found in 16 places. Under the action against hoarders, 12 business units were sealed and as many units were imposed a fine of Rs 139500. Three shopkeepers were arrested and five others were booked for violating the relevant laws. The cases of hoarding were reported in different districts including five cases in Haripur, three each in Mohmand and Hangu, two each in Upper Dir and Mansehra, and one in Abbottabad. DLP Report
