150 staff trained for vaccination against lumpy skin disease, Saif

Special Assistant to the CM KP for Information and Public Relations, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said the provincial govt was taking all precaustionary measure to prevent lumpy skin diseases. He said that the provincial government has so far vaccinated more than one lakh castles against the lumpy skin’s diseases. While sharing details of the steps taken by the provincial government, he added that the first case of lumpy skin in KP was detected on April 22 this year in D.I. Khan. He said a mobile app was also being introduced in this regard through which the public can register complaints of lumpy skin disease in cattle, on which field staff teams will reach the spot and vaccinate the cattle.
He said 150 field staff have been trained for lumpy skin disease vaccination while field staff has also been provided with 50 Mobile veterinary clinics.
In addition, 56 check posts have been set up out of which 30 check posts at inter-district and 26 at inter-provincial borders have been set up where animals’ vaccination was in progress, Barrister Saif concluded.
