PESHAWAR: As many as 32 LHCs of the City Traffic Police have been promoted to the rank of HCs on permanent basis. According to an official handout issued here on Thursday, the promotion of 32 LHCs was long pending which was approved soon after the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Saud Khan assumed the charge of his office. The posts of HCs were promoted on permanent basis, the statement said. It should be noted that the LHCs had completed their course a long time ago, after which their development cases got delayed. Recently, on the instructions of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan, CTO Saud Khan, after assuming charge, took action on priority basis and dealt with the promotion cases. Saud Khan said that officials and personnel of City Traffic Police Peshawar are the backbone of this institution. He said that the promoted HCs should perform their duty faithfully and use all their abilities to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city. Haqnawaz Shinwari
