Involvement in human trafficking
ISLAMABAD
Minister of state for interior Senator Talal Chaudhry has said that 41 employees of FIA were sacked in 2024 for their involvement in human trafficking and 63 employees were nominated in different cases.
He said this in Senate session here Tuesday.
Senate session is underway under deputy chairman Senate.
Senator Shahadat Awan said 51 people of FIA were sacked from service who were involved in human trafficking. Has any punishment been awarded to these 51 persons.
Senator Talal Chaudhry told the house 41 FIA people were sacked in 2024. 63 people were nominated in different cases. Only 16 among them were acquitted. Prosecution is filing appeals against their acquittal.
Danesh Kumar said why the lower grade people have been sacked from job. Action was taken against the person sitting on lower positions. How many officers of grade 17 and above were punished.
Talal Chaudhry said those who were sacked include Assistant directors as well. We will provide the list of those who have been acquitted.
