PESHAWAR: District administration Peshawar has arrested 8 butchers for violation of meat-holiday and 15 milkmen for adulteration of water in milk, said a press release issued here on Wednesday. The butchers were arrested from University Road while milkmen from various bazaars of the interior city. On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shafiullah Khan, the officers of the district administration inspected various bazaars in their areas of jurisdiction and collectively arrested 15 milkmen for selling adulterated milk to consumers while 8 butchers were also arrested for selling meat in violation of the meat-holiday.
