8 drug addicted children rescued, shifted to rehab centre

On the directives of Advisor to Chief Minister Mashal Azam Yousafzai, during the operations in Peshawar and Mardan, eight children suffering from drug addiction were transferred to rehabilitation centers in Mardan.
According to details, Various actions were taken in Peshawar and Mardan on the directives of Advisor to Chief Minister for Social Welfare Mashal Azam Yousafzai. Taking Notice of a video that went viral on social media, showed that four children with mother were at danger at Shadi Pir Chowk HashtNagri Peshawar. Advisor Mashal Azam Yousafzai has issued instructions to the concerned authorities to immediately move the children and mother to a safe place. Director Social Welfare Rafiq Mohmand along with District Officer Social Welfare Peshawar, police and related departments rescued the children and took them into custody with their mother and shifted them to a safe place.
In Mardan, District Officer Social Welfare Mardan Jamal Shah was directed to crack down on the presence of beggars and children using drugs, District Officer Social Welfare Jamal Khan along with Additional Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Junaid Khalid conducted raids at different places of Mardan city at night. The operation was conducted against professional beggars and drug addicts. During this crackdown, eight children suffering from drug addiction were rescued and transferred to Mardan Julian Rehabilitation Center for treatment, while managers of restaurants and Transport Addas were instructed not to allow children to beg in front of restaurants and Addas and requested to cooperate in identifying the handlers of beggars.
Adviser to Chief Minister Mashal Azam Yousafzai said that the welfare of children and disabled people is among the top priorities of the government.
