A total of two Kalashnikovs, 28 pistols, 10 rifles, six shotguns and hundreds of different bore cartridges recovered

Police has adopted a new strategy against the elements involved in street crimes in the city, under which search and strike operations and snap checking are being carried out.
In order to make search operations more effective, eight search operations have been carried out in different areas of the city and apprehended around 55 dangerous criminals involved in serious crimes, said police.
As many as 145 suspects, including aerial firing accused have been detained.
During the operation, 69 unregistered tenants and several illegal Afghan nationals have also been interrogated.
Those who sheltered notorious criminals, including those released from prisons, have also been arrested.
A total of two Kalashnikovs, 28 pistols, 10 rifles, six shotguns and hundreds of different bore cartridges were also recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.
Police said that cases have been registered while the suspects have been questioned from different angles.
Expressing satisfaction over the operations carried out last night, SSP Operation Haroon Rashid directed to intensify the crackdown.
