Hari Committee orgnises Hari Conference in Mithi

The leaders of Communists Party of Pakistan ,Sindh Hari Committee and other leftists from across the country speaking during Jo Khere So Khai (Sufu Shah Inayat) Hari conference held at Thar Press Club in Mithi town of Tharparkar district on Sunday said that the rulers imposed on the country had no guts or competence to provide any relief to people particularly those associated with agriculture across the country.
The leaders paid rich tributes to Sufu Shah Inyat Shaheed on his death anniversary, who had raised the popular slogan Jo Khero So Khae, the one who sows has the foremost right to eat.
Comrade Imdad Qazi, the general secretary of Communist Party of Pakistan in his speech stressed the need that as long as peasants , haris and producers were treated by slaves there would be no change no change in the society and country would continue to face the food crises in the coming years and decades.
He said that people of some states of India should now launch the decisive struggle to press the governments to come up with the long term policies and the mechanism to provide the maximum relief to grain and vegetables producers. Comrade Qazi strongly condemned the killing of five farmers in Qazi Ahmed area of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto district on Saturday. He demanded the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to take strong notice and order the judicial probe into the incident.
He said that the Sindh government over the decades had miserably failed to come up with comprehensive plans and policies to distribute the lands both eavacue and enemy properties in the desert district. Comrade Qazi said that there was the need of the hour to distribute the lands of Thar among Thar before they were all encroached upon by the influential people and the companies.
The communist leaders expressing his deep concerns over the rising cases of the suicides in Tharparkar stressed that there each and every incident should be properly investigated so that the actual causes behind such extremes could be determined.. Comrade Qazi expressed his deep concerns over the crumbs on the media and the enforced disappearances of the activities from Sindh and other provinces of the country.
He said that it was a matter of shame that infants were dying of malnutrition while people were committing suicides in the district, which is all set to change the fate of the country ‘s power sector.
He said that Pakistan due to the flawed forign policies of successive rulers had been left Pakistan alone and alienated Pakistan in the committy of the nations in the world
Mr Nek Mohammad Kakar, the leader general secretary of CPP Balochistan chapter deplored that people of Thar were being treated as the step-children of the state and were being denied of their basic rights.
He said that situations in troubled areas of Balochistan needed the special focus from rulers, who had so far failed to do anything positive.. “ We must exert pressure on the government to stop doing the dirty politics on the key issues of the people living in all the remote and backward areas of the country.
Mr Kakar said that Sindh government had spent billions on the mega projects of installing the costly RO plants to provide safe drinking water to the residents of the rain-dependent arid zone of the country, but the all the plants had been lying faulty due to massive corrupt practices and Tharis were again forced to drink the same brackish and toxic water of wells.
Rana Shoukat, the president of Kashitkar Mahaz from Punjab speaking on the paid rich tributes to Sufi Shah Inayat for his struggle for the rights of farmers. He said that currently all the oppressed communities of the country needed such leaders to speak and stand for them.
Ms Comrade Sadia Azam of Democratic Student Federation speaking during the conference showed her grief and anger over the plight of the farmers everywhere in the country. She strongly condemned the killing of the farmers in Qazi Ahmed area and demanded a judicial probe into the ghastly act.
The leaders and workers of the leftists parties also took out the rally in the town in favour of the demands of Tharis and urged the rulers to fulfil their commitments made with people of the desert district.
