LAHORE: Police completely failed to stop kite flying in Lahore. As many as 2 citizens injured in separate incidents in provincial capital Lahore. According to reports Victims were shifted to the hospital for first aid. While taking the notice CCPO sought the report of both incidents from concerned police officers. First incident took place in area of Nawankot, A young guy naming Owais faced severe injuries by a chemical string used for kitting. In the other incident reported from the Qartaba Chowk, where young man Ibrahim’s neck got tighten to string got injured. Both victims shifted to Services hospital, according to hospital staff condition of one victim is still critical. CCPO Fayyaz instructed DIG Operations to take action against responsible officers according to kite flying act. He also ordered to take action against the online selling of kites and strings. CCPO said the awareness campaign in coordination with district administration, civil society and parents has to be launched. Online
