DRC resolves long standing inheritance dispute amicably

The District Resolution Council (DRC) peacefully resolved a family inheritance dispute in Gulberg council of the provincial capital.
The DRC members, family members and SP Cantt Muhammad Azhar participated in the Jirga.
On this occasion all disputes were settled amicably while the total value of the property was settled at 18 million while more than Rs 5 million was paid in the presence of council members.
According to details, in the light of the orders of the provincial government and IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Moazzam Jah Ansari, serious efforts were being made by the Peshawar police to resolve the ongoing feud in the region, said a handout.
In this connection, DRC ended a hereditary property dispute with the mutual consent of the parties through the efforts of DRC Gulberg an acceptable solution to the ongoing inheritance property dispute was worked out in the light of which the second party Sahir Hussain transferred the inherited property to his sisters.
SP Cantt Muhammad Azhar clarified that keeping in view the centuries old jirga system in the region, DRC councils have been set up by the KP Police to ensure prompt resolution of issues between the citizens.
He added that a mutually agreed settlement was a living example of the success of the DRC councils
