Two people have been killed and eight others seriously injured in different motorcycle accidents in Wana tribal district of South Waziristan during Eid-ul-Adha.
The injured were shifted to Sheikha Fatima Hospital Sholam and District Headquarter Hospital Wana for medical treatment.
According to the police report, seven motorcycle accidents have been reported in the last 24 hours in which two persons were killed and eight others were seriously injured.
According to the information received by the police, the body of a small child was recovered from tehsil Shakai Chowk which was lost due to a motorcycle accident.
On the other hand, it is unfortunate that section 144 has been enforced by DC South Waziristan Amjad Meraj for a month, but despite this, people are openly committing violations of section 144, which is a matter of concern for the police across the district.
In this regard, social activist Amanullah Wazir said that section 144 was enforced by DC South Waziristan before Eid but still people and special drivers are openly violating it.
He demanded the police to ensure the rule of law in all cases so that no one could escape the clutches of the law.
