PESHAWAR
The Civil Defense chapter of the provincial capital on Thursday organized a special camp at Chowk Yadgar in connection with Police Martyrs Day.
CCPO Mohammad Ijaz Khan specially participated in the camp and shed lights over the importance of the police force in maintaining law and order situation.
A large number of people and people from different walks of life attended the camp and expressed their solidarity with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
In the camp set up by the civil defense authorities, banners were also displayed with pictures of police martyrs and veterans, on which special writings were written to pay homage to the police martyrs.
On this occasion, a large number of citizens also participated in the camp and expressed their love for the police department
CCPO Muhammad Ijaz Khan met Civil Defense Chief Fayyaz Ali Shah at the camp and informed about the aims and objectives of Police Martyrs Day.
He said that around 400 policemen embraced Shahadat while performing their duties.
They have attained the highest rank of martyrdom, while 12 Peshawar policemen have been martyred so far this year alone.
The CCPO further said that today we reaffirm that no sacrifice will be spared for the security of the country and the peace of the city as well as the protection of the lives and property of the citizens.
