Emergency declared in PESCO, staff’s leaves cancelled

In the wake of the catastrophic situation caused by floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) the federal government has announced emergency in the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) cancelling leaves of the staff and preparing to meet any emergent situation.
In this regard, Adviser to Prime on Political & Public Affairs and National Heritage, Engr Amir Muqam Saturday chaired a high-level meeting at the PESCO headquarters and directed Chief Executive Jabbar Khan to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply while keeping the safety measures intact in the areas affected by floods. PM’s adviser also lauded the efforts of the PESCO’s staff that was performing duties in the face of threat to their lives. He directed the PESO authorities to announce cash rewards for these selfless workers.
