District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada has visited the crime scene in Wanda Shahab Khel, where a two-year-old boy, Sohail, was allegedly murdered, and reviewed progress in the investigation.
Accompanied by SP Investigation Sher Hassan Khan and DSP Lakki Shahi Bakht Khan, the DPO inspected the crime scene and received a detailed briefing from police officials on the investigation, available evidence and various aspects of the case.
He directed the investigation team to examine all aspects of the case thoroughly, use modern scientific investigative techniques and complete the probe in the light of concrete evidence while fulfilling all legal requirements.
Mr Sahibzada said the killing of the toddler was deeply distressing and that no negligence or lapse in the investigation would be tolerated. He said the case would be investigated on professional lines and all available resources would be utilised to trace those responsible and ensure they were brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Later, the DPO visited the bereaved family’s home, offered Fateha and expressed his condolences. He assured the family that police were pursuing the investigation seriously and would leave no stone unturned to ensure justice
