KHYBER: Doctors and paramedical staff of district headquarter hospital Landi Kotal boycotted the outdoor patient departments (OPDs) against poor behavior of the medical superintendent of the health center towards the staff, especially the female ones. However doctors were present in the casualty and labor room to tackle any emergency case, hospital sources informed. The health staff also took out a protest rally from the OPDs to Iqra square while chanting slogans against the MS Dr Jamshed Sherani. Addressing on the occasion speakers including Dr Imran and Khyalmadar Shinwari said that due to the inappropriate attitude of the MS, the specialists’ doctors were compelled to transfer from the hospital. They blamed that the health center lacked facilities but the MS had turned blinds towards it that multiplied miseries of the patients. The protestors threatened that if the MS was not transferred than they would initiate indefinite agitation against it. When the MS Dr Jamshed Sherani was contacted on the matter he said that he only forced the health staff to perform their duties with honesty and beside several warnings, if few doctors were not regular then legal action would be taken against them.
