PESHAWAR
Under the e-governance initiative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government the e-stamp service on Thursday formally started in district Swat.
The e-stamp paper was issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Swat Sohail Ahmed from National Bank Saidu Sharif branch, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Abdul Latif, officials of National Bank and Board of Revenue were present on this occasion.
The ADC Swat Sohail Ahmed said that issuance of e-stamp paper would bring transparency and the issuance of stamp paper in back dates would be stopped permanently.
It would also resolve the disputes of buying and selling properties by putting the correct value of the property besides eliminating forgery and fraud as the e-stamp paper could also be verified online.
Sohail Ahmed said that the provincial government is trying to provide services to the people at their doorstep and the people of Swat can get e-stamp paper through the website www.estamp.kp.gov.pk, adding that the service would be started in other tehsils of Swat later this week.
