The central president of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan, on the eighth anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) attack, said the elements behind the carnage will remain unexposed. He said the killing of innocent students will never be forgotten.
On Dec 16, 2014, terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) carried out the horrific attack on the school and killed 132 innocent students and 17 staff members.
ANP chief maintained that the establishment of peace will remain a dream without eliminating the terrorist mentality and their facilitators.
The people involved in a painful event like the APS tragedy cannot be human beings.
Unfortunately, the characters of this tragedy, facilitators and those responsible are still hidden from public view.
In a message released on the eighth anniversary of the APS Peshawar tragedy, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan said that the wounds of the APS tragedy are still fresh and the families of the martyrs are waiting for justice.
It is regrettable and a slap in the face of justice, he said and demanded implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit for complete eradication of terrorism.
The whole world needs to follow the teaching and philosophy of Bacha Khan for maintaining a peaceful society.
ANP chief added that terrorists are regrouping across the province but the provincial government has observed pin drop silence, adding that nation should stand together against the terrorism.
