Swat Press Club elected new office-bearers for the year 2023. Rafi Ullah Khan of News One and Murad Ali Khan of Dawn News have been elected unopposed as President and General Secretary of Swat Press Club for the year 2023, respectively. According to a notification issued by Election Committee here on Monday, Essa Khankhel (Geo, Jang, The News) and Haroon Siraj (Neo News) have been elected unopposed as President and General Secretary of Swat Union of Journalists. Anwar Shah (Bol News) Vice President, Niaz Muhammad Bacha (Daily Time, Daily Sayaq) Deputy General Secretary, Kamran Kami ( ARY News) Joint Secretary and Hazrat Ali Bacha (Cameraman Aaj News) as a finance secretary elected for Press Club Caninet 2023. The other office-bearers who have been elected unopposed are Usman Ali (Daily Chand) Vice President, Anwar Anjum (Aaj News) Joint Secretary while Waheedullah (Daily News, Jahan Pakistan) was elected Finance Secretary for Swat Union of Journalists.
The members of governing body elected unopposed are Fayaz Zafar (Daily Mashriq, VOA), Shahzad Alam (ARY News, Daily Aaj), Fazal Khaliq (Daily Dawn) Badar Zaman (Daily Hum Awam) and Amjad Ali Sahab (Daily Statesman) were elected as Members of Governing body.
