Gang involved in street crimes busted

Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a gang involved in street crimes including snatching smart phones from citizens at gunpoint and arrested five members of the gang in the limits of Superb police.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Superb Mukhtiar Ali told reporters that the gang was involved in a number of street crimes, especially snatching and robbery. He said that police have recovered 34 valuable mobile phones and cash from their possessions.
According to SHO Banamani Abdullah Jalal during the preliminary investigation the arrested persons have confessed being involved in street crimes, adding that during the operation police have also recovered 34 pistols used for the crimes.
He said that cases have been registered against the arrested persons and further investigation was launched.
During the operation, the weapons used in the incidents, 4 pistols and 2 stolen motorcycles were also recovered
